Financial Support for Pregnant Women
The “Assistance for Child Rearing” which had hitherto combined “Accompanying Consultation Assistance” and “Financial Support” will be replaced by “Financial Support for Pregant Women” from April 1st, 2025.
Program description
Financial Support for Pregnant Women (1st round)
Who is eligible?
・Individuals who are registered citizens of Kobayashi City at the time of the application and who are in possession of the Mother-Child-Health Handbook.
・Individuals who submitted a Pregnancy Notification Form (ninshin todoke) after April 1st, 2025 (received by a physician after medical examination confirming the pregnancy) as well as women who have received consultation from a public health nurse.
・Individuals who have obtained the Mother-Child-Health handbook before March 31st, 2025 and who have not applied for “Childbirth Support” via the old program or for childbirth allowances (including vouchers) in a different municipality.
・Individuals who have not applied for “Financial Support for Pregnant Women 1st round” (including vouchers) in a different municipality.
Financial Support for Pregnant Women (2nd round)
Who is eligible?
・Individuals who are registered residents at the time of application and who are within 8 weeks of their expected due date.
・Individuals who have not applied for any kind of childcare allowance (including vouchers) in a different municipality
・Individuals who have not applied for “Financial Support for Pregnant Women 2nd round” (including vouchers) in a different municipality.
Note: In case of miscarriage or stillbirth, applicants will still be able to receive the aid. For information on requirements and required documents inquire at the Child-and-Family Center. (0984-23-4319)

Individuals who have given birth prior to March 31st, 2025
With the implementation of the new program, the “Assistance for Child Rearing” program has expired as of March 31st, 2025. For individuals who have not applied for the “Childbirth / Child Rearing Support”, procedures will differ depending on the time of delivery.
・Individuals who have not applied for the “Childbirth Support” => “Financial Support for Pregnant Women” (1st round) application/invoice form
・Individuals who have given birth prior to March 31st, 2025, and who have not applied for “Child Rearing Support” => “Application for financial aid according to the Kobayashi City Child Support ‘Gifuto‘ Allowance”
