Assistance for child rearing (Allowance for Child Support)

To achieve a safe environment for all households expecting and raising children, Kobayashi City offers "Accompanying Consultation Assistance", providing consistent support by close consultation services from pregnancy through childbirth to child-rearing. Additionally, we implemented "Financial Support", aimed at reducing the financial burdens of expecting or child-raising families and households that submitted relevant notifications such as the Pregnancy Notification Form (ninshin todoke) or the Birth Notification Form (shussan todoke).

February 1st, 2023

Public health specialists will conduct surveys or interviews with all expectant and nursing mothers during pregnancy (as of submitting the Pregnancy Notification Form or around the 8th month of pregnancy) as well as after childbirth.* Through that, advice on further consultations or services based on their needs can be provided, offering continuous essential support.

*Interviews after childbirth are conducted with the primary caregiver of the child

1. Women who submitted a Pregnancy Notification Form (ninshin todoke) after April 1st, 2022 (received by a physician after medical examination confirming the pregnancy)

2. Mothers who gave birth after April 1st, 2022

・Pregnant women who submitted the Pregnancy Notification Form after February 20th , 2023 will receive further instructions after an interview conducted after the submission.

・Caregivers of children born after February 1st, 2023 will receive further instructions after the infant visit and the accompanying interview.

Note: If the person submitting the documents for [Childbirth Support] or [Child Support] is different from the person receiving the allowance, an authorization is required. Please refer to the contact information provided below.

Approximately one month after submitting the request, a notification regarding the approval or denial will be issued and sent by mail. If approved, the allowance will be transferred to the account provided in the submitted documents.
