On waste disposal in Kobayashi City
Rules regarding waste disposal
- Waste separation is carried out according to “Kobayashi City’s Household Garbage Disposal Guide”
- Put your household waste into the trash bags designated by the city and tie them up firmly
- Follow the rules issued by your district or neighborhood council
- Only dispose of your trash on designated weekdays
- Heed designated times when putting out your trash
In case the rules have not been followed
If a rule has not been followed, your trash bags will not be collected but instead marked with a “Request sticker” (お願いシール) or “violation sticker” (違反シール).
About “Request stickers” and “Violation stickers”
In case your bag has been marked with either of these stickers, please take it home and sort it again. You can put it out again once the waste has been properly separated.
When putting out the trash a second time
When putting out the trash after having separated it again, please make sure to cross out the sticker writing an “X” or the kanji “済み” over it using a black marker.
When directly taking waste to waste collection site
Next to the waste collection site in your neighborhood, you can dispose of waste by bringing it directly to the waste collection site.

Please be aware that unlawful dumping or burning of waste outdoors for reasons such as waste separation being troublesome, is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, such actions would be a nuisance to neighbors as well as negatively impact the environment.
