Request to prevent submitted notifications to take effect
If you want to prevent submitted requests (like Marriage or Divorce Notifications) from taking effect, you can file a Non-Acceptance Request (fujuri moushide). Foreign Residents can also file such a request, if their respective others are Japanese Citizens.
What can be prevented?
- Marriage Registration
- Amicable Divorce Registration
- Adoption Notification
- Dissolution of an Adoption
- Acknowledgement of Paternity
When to submit request?
Taking effect from the day the request was filed.

Address of the person submitting the request/permanent or temporary address
Who can submit the request?
The person himself/herself.
What is needed to submit the request?
- Respective request form
- Identification Document (My Number Card, Drivers License, Residence Card etc.)
Note!
- The procedure is free of charge
- The person submitting the request must file the necessary documents at the counter (madoguchi) at Kobayashi City Hall by him/herself.
- If the person cannot come to the City Hall, a proxy carrying a notarized document signed by the submitting person may file the request.
